Prime Minister Masrour Barzani congratulates Christians for Easter

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today issued the following statement:

“Please join me this Easter in congratulating our Christian brothers and sisters in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the world as they observe the Resurrection of Christ.

“We hope that God will hear their prayers and bless their sacrifices so that they enjoy a peaceful and joyous Eid.

On this holy occasion, we take stock of our efforts to protect and strengthen pluralism in the Kurdistan Region, and take pride in our culture of religious coexistence and tolerance.

“I hope that the spirit of reconciliation and brotherhood among all nations and followers of different religions will continue to grow and bring humanity to the forefront of all our efforts to put an end to extremism and suffering around the world.”
