Prime Minister Masrour Barzani meets with Iranian Foreign Minister

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today met with Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif to discuss bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Both agreed that the security situation in the region should remain a priority for everyone, and Prime Minister Barzani noted that efforts to maintain peace and stability requires broad cooperation based on a mutual respect and understanding between partners.

Prime Minister Barzani also shared his concerns regarding the Iraqi federal budget law and the rights and duties of both governments.

Minister Zarif welcomed a discussion on how to develop trade and investments between the Kurdistan Region and Iran.
