Prime Minister Masrour Barzani meets with South Korean Ambassador

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today welcomed the South Korean Ambassador to Iraq, Jang Kyung-wook, and the Korean Consul General in Erbil, Choi Kwang-Jin, to discuss developing relations between the two nations.

The Ambassador highlighted South Korea’s readiness to expand bilateral ties with the Kurdistan Region, notably in the fields of trade and tourism, and remains committed to providing assistance to the Kurdistan Regional Government in supporting hundred of thousands of refugees and IDPs.

The Prime Minister thanked the Ambassador for his country’s cooperation and support for strengthening bilateral ties, and expressed his appreciation for the friendship between South Korea and the Kurdistan Region, which has led to many economic development projects in the Kurdistan Region over the past years.
