Prime Minister Masrour Barzani speaks with Iraqi leaders

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today had several telephone calls with a number of Iraqi political leaders, including Ammar Al-Hakeem, the Head of the Hikma National Movement, Hadi Ameri, Head of the Fatih Coalition, Khamis Khanjar, the General-Secretary of the Arab Project in Iraq, and Ahmed Jubouri, the Head of the Iraqi People’s Coalition.

The Prime Minister thanked the political leaders for their efforts in passing the 2021 federal budget bill and hoped this would serve as a constructive step forward toward resolving disputes between the federal and regional governments, and based on the constitution.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani also spoke to his counterpart, Federal Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mohammed Al-Halbusi, to personally thank them for their work in passing the critical budget bill, and for their support in including clauses specific to agreements between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government of Iraq.
