Prime Minister Masrour Barzani welcomes new Greek Consul General in Erbil

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today met with the new Greek Consul General in Erbil, Stavros Kyrimis, to congratulate him on his appointment and discuss bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Greece.

The Greek Consul General recognised the long-standing friendship and close relationship between Greece and the Kurdistan Region and highlighted his country’s readiness to strengthen ties in all fields. He also noted the Kurdistan Region continues to play an important part as a factor of stability in the region.

The Prime Minister wished him success on his new role and reaffirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government remains available to support him and his office.
