PM Masrour Barzani meets Finland’s Ambassador to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Sunday met Matti Lassila, the Finnish ambassador to Iraq.

Prime Minister Barzani thanked the ambassador for Finland’s support as part of the global coalition and he emphasised the importance of increasing cooperation against the ISIS threat in disputed territories.

The Finnish ambassador highlighted the positive role played by the Kurdish diaspora in Finland and expressed his country’s readiness to strengthen ties with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

Both sides also discussed developments in Iraq and the relationship between Kurdistan Region and Finland.
