PM Masrour Barzani meets head of European Union advisory mission to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Wednesday met with the head of the European Union Advisory Mission in Iraq, Christoph Buik, to discuss bilateral efforts in the region.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed the government’s readiness for any cooperation with the EU representatives, and wished them success in their mission.

Advisory mission head Buik addressed the duties of the EU delegation in Iraq, which has been tasked with providing aid, security advice and reform since 2017.

Developing security strategies to prevent extremism, and the training of police and security forces were other topics of discussion.
