PM Masrour Barzani meets with General Commander of Italian Forces in Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Saturday met with General Commander of the Italian Forces in Iraq Francesco Principe, following the end of the general's duties in Iraq.

Prime Minister Barzani wished the general commander all the best in his future missions, and thanked the Italy for supporting Peshmerga forces in the fight against ISIS.

General Principe addressed the positive and historic relationship between the Kurdistan Region and Italy. He commended the region for being a safe haven for displaced people and a center for peaceful coexistence.
