PM Masrour Barzani meets with the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister

Brussels, Belgium – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Belgium, Sophie Wilmès on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and combating terrorism.

Prime Minister Barzani addressed the relationship between Erbil and Brussels, and discussed the latest developments in the region.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the international community, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, particularly in combating terrorism.

Prime Minister Wilmès thanked Prime Minister Barzani and the KRG for their cooperation with the Belgian representatives in Iraq and Syria.

She reaffirmed Belgium’s readiness to strengthen ties with the KRG and increase joint efforts against terrorism.
