Statement by the Office of KRG Prime Minister

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - The office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government today issued the following statement:

“Today, we mourn the tragic loss of four individuals from Northern Syria, who lost their lives in an unfortunate traffic accident in Croatia involving a number of refugees. We extend our condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery. Under the auspices of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, the bodies of the refugees will be repatriated to the Kurdistan Region for transport back to Northern Syria to allow the victims to be buried in their homeland.
