Prime Minister Masrour Barzani delivers Eid al-Fitr message to orphaned children

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV-KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today, in coordination with the organizers of the “Care for the Precious Ones” project, had several calls with orphaned children across the Kurdistan Region to personally wish them a happy Eid al-Fitr.

“I called a few of the many thousands of orphans cared for by Barzani Charity Foundation with Emirates Red Cross to wish them a Happy Eid, and check-up on their school progress,” tweeted Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.

The Prime Minister praised the project, which he hopes will be able to expand and one day provide assistance to every orphaned child in Kurdistan Region, especially the children of Peshmerga martyrs, as well as cover educational needs.

The “Care for the Precious Ones” project was organized by the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) and delivered more than 13 million USD in financial aid during the holy month of Ramadan to more than 15,000 orphaned children throughout the Kurdistan Region. The project was supported by the Emirates Red Crescent and independent private sponsors in the Kurdistan Region.
