PM Masrour Barzani visits Duhok International Airport project

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday visited the Duhok International Airport project.

Prime Minister Barzani closely examined the site, assessing it as a strategic link for Duhok to other provinces and strengthening foreign economic ties for Kurdistan Region.

The Premier’s key visit marked a step towards the resumption of construction, which had been temporarily stopped by recent regional crises.

“Today’s visit was to go over this project and process the contracts in order to resume building this airport. It is important for Duhok and the wider region,” Prime Minister Barzani said.

He said that after reviewing his visit, an announcement on when work will resume will be made soon.
