PM Masrour Barzani discusses security developments in Iraq and Syria

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Sunday discussed the recent security developments and the rising Islamic State (ISIS) threats in Iraq and Syria with the Minister of Peshmerga and Minister of Interior.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed concerns with the increased number of ISIS terrorist attacks and stressed the importance of strengthening the Kurdistan Region’s defenses and security capabilities.

The Prime Minister also called for greater coordination between the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi forces, as well as the Global Coalition, to tackle these threats.
