PM Masrour Barzani marks Akitu

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani issued the following statement on the occasion of Akitu:

“With the arrival of Akitu, the Babylonian-Assyrian New Year, I send my warmest congratulations to all our Chaldean, Assyrian, and Syriac brothers and sisters in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. I hope this year is one of peace and stability for all the Kurdistan Region and, indeed, the entire world.

“On this occasion, we once again reiterate the importance of peaceful coexistence between all the different constituents of the Kurdistan Region.

“Happy Akitu and may you celebrate it with joy this, and every, year.”
