KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Advocates for Equal Public Services in the Kurdistan Region

On Monday, August 14, 2023, during a visit to the city of Duhok, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) emphasised the importance of non-discriminatory access to public services across all neighbourhoods and regions.

Throughout his tour of Duhok, PM Barzani took the opportunity to visit several neighbourhoods, meeting local residents and hearing their concerns and needs firsthand. He made a special effort to visit some households, reinforcing his commitment to ensuring that services such as water, electricity, healthcare, and education are equally accessible to everyone.

Highlighting the purpose behind his visit, the Prime Minister expressed his dedication to identifying areas in Duhok that might be lacking in essential public services. His goal is to ensure comprehensive coverage of basic amenities throughout the city.

Concluding his visit, PM Barzani urged the Governor of Duhok to prioritise those neighbourhoods still awaiting adequate public services. Additionally, he encouraged the public to collaborate with government officials to facilitate a smoother and more efficient delivery of these essential services.
