KRG Prime Minister meets with India’s new Consul General in Kurdistan Region

On Sunday, August 6, 2023, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) welcomed Mr. Madan Gopal, the newly appointed Consul General of the Republic of India in the Kurdistan Region.

Offering his congratulations on Mr. Gopal's appointment, Prime Minister Barzani underscored the KRG's commitment to supporting the Indian consulate. He emphasised the significance of deepening the bilateral relationship between India and the Kurdistan Region.

Consul General Gopal expressed his appreciation for the cooperation he has received from the Kurdistan Region and conveyed India's keen interest in further enhancing its ties with the Kurdistan Region.
