KRG Prime Minister Meets Departing Australian Ambassador

On Thursday, December 7, 2023, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) bid farewell to Paula Ganly, the departing Australian Ambassador to Iraq.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Ganly's contribution to enhancing relations between Australia and Kurdistan, conveying his best wishes for her future endeavours.

Ambassador Ganly emphasised Australia's intention to further strengthen its relationship with the Kurdistan Region, especially in investment and trade.

The meeting also covered recent developments in Iraq and underscored the need for equitable and prompt distribution of financial entitlements to the Kurdistan Region to prevent further oppression and discrimination.
