KRG Prime Minister Meets with IDB Chairman

On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), engaged in a productive discussion with Ziyad Khalaf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Development Bank (IDB).

Their meeting focused on economic development and financial reforms within the Kurdistan Region's banking sector, highlighting the favourable investment climate in various sectors across the region and Iraq as a whole.

Mr. Khalaf praised Prime Minister Barzani's ambitions to diversify the economy, and strengthen the banking and financial sectors.

Prime Minister Barzani reiterated his commitment to supporting the private banking sector, in both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, to enhance the overall financial and economic landscape.
