KRG Prime Minister Pays Respects at Funeral of Kuwait's Late Emir

On Monday, December 18, 2023, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), attended the funeral of the recently deceased Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in Kuwait.

During the solemn ceremony, Prime Minister Barzani offered his condolences to the Emir’s successor, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and extended his sympathies to the Al-Sabah family. He also expressed hopes for peace and comfort for all those grieving the loss.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Barzani underscored the crucial contribution of the State of Kuwait in enhancing security and fostering stability in both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
