KRG Prime Minister receives the Board of Trustees of the Communications and Media Commission of Iraq

On Thursday, June 15, 2023, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) met with Bassam Salim, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Communications and Media Commission of Iraq. During the meeting, the chairman and his board provided an overview of the commission's work in media and information technology, expressing a strong interest in collaborating with the KRG on these matters.

Prime Minister Barzani acknowledged the significance of the media sector and the rapid advancements in information technology worldwide, particularly the emergence of artificial intelligence, which has created numerous opportunities for humanity. He emphasised the KRG's institutions' desire to work with the commission and stressed the importance of having representatives from the Kurdistan Region actively participating within the commission.
