Prime Minister receives the Mayor of Nashville
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government warmly received Nashville Mayor John Cooper and his delegation on Tuesday, May 23. The delegation included members of the city council and the chairman and members of the Sister Cities of Nashville Board, fostering an atmosphere of cordiality and respect.
The primary focus of the meeting was to strengthen educational and cultural connections between the Kurdistan Region and the United States, with a particular emphasis on fostering a sister city relationship between Erbil and Nashville. The Kurdish diaspora in Nashville was also acknowledged for their positive contributions to the community.
At the end of the meeting, the visiting delegation expressed their delight at the opportunity to visit the Kurdistan Region and their strong desire to pursue collaborative projects and initiatives between the two cities.
