KRG Prime Minister Bids Farewell to Italian Ambassador

On Sunday, 25 August 2024, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), bade farewell to Maurizio Greganti, the departing Ambassador of Italy to Iraq.

The meeting, which was attended by Michele Camerota, the Consul General of Italy in the Kurdistan Region, focused on the latest developments in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the surrounding region.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Greganti for his efforts in strengthening bilateral relations.

Ambassador Greganti reiterated Italy's commitment to enhancing relations with the Kurdistan Region and expressed his appreciation for the effective cooperation between the KRG and the Italian Embassy.

They also discussed the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region, and Prime Minister Barzani underscored the importance of ensuring fair elections under the supervision of international organisations.
