PM Barzani sends congratulatory letter to new President of Iran

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - Today, July 6, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani sent a congratulatory letter to Massoud Pezeshkian, the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In his letter, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani highlighted the historical relationship between the Kurdistan Region and Iran, emphasizing that this relationship can serve as a foundation for greater understanding, cooperation, and the resolution of any issues or conflicts, as well as establishing strong bilateral relations that meet the expectations of both sides.

The Prime Minister also wished him success in their government's plans and programs to bring further progress and development to the Iranian people.

Prime Minister Barzani stated: “As the Kurdistan Regional Government, we are ready to cooperate and wish to have the best possible relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran based on mutual respect and bilateral friendship. Together, we can work for peace, stability, and further development in our region, with a particular focus on improving commercial and economic relations to enhance the quality of life for our citizens.”
