PM Masrour Barzani receives Iranian provincial delegation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) — Prime Minister Masrour Barzani welcomed today a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Mohammad Sadeq Motamedian, the Governor of West Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, which also included Esmaeil Zarei Kousha, the Governor of Kurdistan, Mohammad Tayeb Sahrai, the Governor of Kermanshah, and other Iranian officials, they discussed efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, promote trade, and ease travel and tourism between the regions.

Both sides also discussed preparations to welcome Iranian pilgrims to holy sites in southern Iraq.

Prime Minister Barzani and the delegation agreed on the importance of strong neighborly relations based on mutual respect and interests.
