KRG Prime Minister Holds Talks with Head of the Supreme Judicial Council

On Thursday, 30 May 2024, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), convened with Fayeq Zedan, Head of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council.

During the meeting, both parties agreed to support dialogue between Erbil and Baghdad to reach a comprehensive solution to all pending issues, while respecting the constitutional status of the Kurdistan Region.

They also emphasised the importance of maintaining the independence of the judiciary, ensuring that court decisions safeguard the overall interests of the public in Iraq and uphold the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people, as well as all ethnic and religious groups in the country.
