KRG Prime Minister Meets With Qatari Delegation

On Sunday, 26 May 2024, Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), welcomed a delegation from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Ahmad Hassen al-Hammadi, the ministry's Secretary-General.

The meeting, also attended by Sultan bin Mubarak Al-Kubaisi, Qatar’s Ambassador to Iraq, and Hussain Bin Ali Al-Fadala, Consul General of Qatar in the Kurdistan Region, centred on exchanging views to strengthen bilateral relations across various sectors.

Secretary-General Al-Hammadi conveyed greetings from the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the Prime Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, to Prime Minister Barzani. He also expressed Qatar's desire to bolster relations with the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani highlighted the importance of Qatar's position, the opening of the consulate in the Kurdistan Region, and reiterated the Kurdistan Region's commitment to enhancing bilateral relations across diverse sectors.
