KRG Prime Minister Meets the Ambassador of France

On Wednesday, 25 September 2024, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) met with Patrick Durel, the Ambassador of France to Iraq.
During the meeting, they discussed key developments in Iraq and bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and France.

The discussions included the latest preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Region. They both emphasised the importance of conducting free and fair elections with the presence of international observers.

They also discussed the need to resume the halted oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, which has inflicted significant damage on federal revenues.
