Prime Minister Barzani Receives UK Parliamentary Delegation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a delegation from the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on the Kurdistan Region today, headed by John Slinger, Member of Parliament and Chair of the group.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Prime Minister on the work and activities of the group, which includes MPs and peers representing all parties in the British Parliament. They noted that their goal is to be informed about the Kurdistan Region and strengthen ties and cooperation between Kurdistan and the United Kingdom.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani expressed his gratitude to the group, which included Baroness Hodgson, thanking the British government and parliament for the support provided to the Kurdistan Region in defending the rights of its people. He also commended the group's efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.

The meeting also addressed relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq's federal government, the need to resolve outstanding issues between the two sides, and ensuring that the constitutional and financial rights of the people of Kurdistan Region are met. They emphasized the urgency of resuming oil exports from the Kurdistan Region via the Iraq-Türkiye pipeline.
