Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with Dutch Prosecutor Simon Minks

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Simon Minks, the Netherlands’ National Coordinating Advocate-General for counter-terrorism, extremism, and international crimes.

The Prime Minister thanked Mr Minks for the decades of work he has done on genocide and terrorism cases, some of which involved Saddam Hussein’s use of chemical weapons and others that involved Yazidi victims of ISIS.

The Prime Minister thanked Mr Minks for his work and efforts in achieving justice for the victims of atrocity crimes.

They also discussed the history of genocide in Kurdistan and Iraq and the need for justice and accountability.
