Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Welcomes British and European Parliamentarians

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani welcomed a delegation from the British House of Commons and House of Lords and the European Parliament.

The delegation commended the progress and prosperity of Erbil and the Kurdistan Region and paid tribute to the valor of the Peshmerga forces in countering terrorism. They noted that the Kurdistan Region has become a beacon of freedom, democracy, and peaceful coexistence among all its components. They reaffirmed their countries' commitment to strengthening relations with the Kurdistan Region.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the long-standing support from the UK and other European countries to the Kurdistan Region and highlighted the KRG's reforms in the energy, banking, and digitalization of the public sectors. They also discussed the situation in Iraq and the region.
