Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets President of the UAE

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – In Abu Dhabi, as part of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Friday met with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.

They discussed the situation in Iraq following the parliamentary elections, as well as the regional developments.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his gratitude for the UAE’s continued support and assistance, and reaffirmed the Kurdistan Region’s desire to further advance bilateral relations. He valued the UAE’s appointment of a special envoy dedicated to economic cooperation with the Kurdistan Region.

They agreed on the importance of strengthening ties between the Kurdistan Region and the United Arab Emirates across all sectors.
