Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Receives Ambassador of Canada

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Christopher Boehm, the Ambassador of Canada to Iraq.

They agreed on the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in investment and trade and discussed the KRG's ongoing reforms across sectors.

Regarding the efforts to form the new KRG cabinet, the Prime Minister reaffirmed that a new circumstances now exists for its formation, which must be based on the outcome of the elections.

The terrorist attack on the Khor Mor gas field, the situation in Iraq following the parliamentary elections, recent developments in Syria, and the peace process in Türkiye were also discussed during the meeting.
