PM Masrour Barzani receives Türkiye’s Deputy Foreign Minister

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received the Foreign Deputy Minister of Türkiye Ambassador Berris Ekinci and an accompanying delegation.
They exchanged views on opportunities to further develop bilateral relations, particularly in trade and energy sectors.
They both agreed on the need to resume Kurdistan Region's oil exports through the Ceyhan port as the amendment to the Iraqi federal budget law was passed by the Council of Representatives, stipulating the cost of extracting and transporting KRI’s oil.
They also discussed the Development Road project connecting the Gulf and Iraq to Türkiye and Europe through railways, stressing the importance of the Kurdistan Region's participation in this strategic project.
Regarding Syria, they addressed developments in the country and emphasized the need to maintain its security and stability and ensure the rights of the Kurdish people and all other components of the country.
