PM Masrour Barzani welcomes JICA delegation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani welcomed a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), led by Hiroshi Suzuki, Director of the JICA Office in Iraq.
They discussed expanding cooperation in education and reviewed Prime Minister Masrour Barzani’s proposal to benefit from the Japanese education and learning system in the Kurdistan Region. The goal is to develop a disciplined, accountable, productive and innovative generation that takes into consideration their community, parents, teachers, and the environment.
The JICA delegation cited the example of a Japanese education system model that is currently implemented in several public schools in Egypt. In this regard, Professor Sugita, the project supervisor in Egypt, briefly presented the Japanese education experience in that country.
The JICA delegation welcomed the Prime Minister’s proposal and reaffirmed their readiness to provide full support and cooperation.
