Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Bids Farewell to US Consul General

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani bids farewell to Steve Bitner, the United States Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic mission.

Prime Minister Barzani thanked the United States for its continued support for the Kurdistan Region, and expressed his appreciation to CG Bitner for his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations across various fields.

CG Bitner conveyed his gratitude to the relevant institutions of the KRG for their cooperation and reaffirmed the importance his country places on enhancing its close and friendly relations with the Kurdistan Region.

They agreed on the importance of resuming the Kurdistan Region’s oil exports, upholding its federal status, and ensuring the constitutional and financial rights of the people of Kurdistan.
