Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets U.S. Chargé d’Affaires

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Daniel Rubinstein, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

They discussed efforts to form the new Kurdistan Regional Government cabinet. The Prime Minister highlighted that the process is advancing well and on schedule, and there have been agreements on the new cabinet's formation.

They both emphasized the urgent need to resolve the longstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government, including ensuring the proper allocation of the Kurdistan Region's budget. They also agreed on the importance of removing all obstacles to the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region.
