Prime Minister Barzani Meets Congressman Brian Mast

Washington, D.C. (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with U.S. Congressman Brian Mast, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, as part of his official visit to the United States.

Congressman Mast expressed his respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Peshmerga forces in the fight against terrorism. He reaffirmed his full support for the Kurdistan Region as a key U.S. ally in the region.

They agreed on the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of investment and energy. They highlighted the significance and benefits of the two recent agreements signed between the KRG and U.S. companies HKN Energy and WesternZagros.
