Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets Congressman Abe Hamadeh

Washington, D.C. (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with U.S. Congressman Abraham (Abe) Hamadeh in Washington as part of his official visit to the United States.

Congressman Hamadeh expressed his pride in his Kurdish heritage, noting that his paternal grandmother is Kurdish and his mother is of Druze origin.

He welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington and the signing of two major energy deals, emphasizing that these deals serve the interests of all Iraqi citizens. He also stressed the importance of deepening ties between the Kurdistan Region and the United States across various sectors.

Prime Minister Barzani congratulated Congressman Hamadeh on his election to Congress last year and wished him continued success. He also thanked him for his support of the Kurdistan Region.
