Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets U.S. Senators Angus King and James Lankford

Washington, D.C. (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with U.S. Senators Angus King and James Lankford in Washington as part of his official visit to the United States.

Both senators welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit and reaffirmed their appreciation for the heroic role of the Peshmerga forces in the fight against ISIS, highlighting the Kurdistan Region’s importance in confronting terrorism.

They also discussed the two major energy agreements signed this week in Washington. The senators acknowledged the significance of these deals, noting that they will support economic development not only in the Kurdistan Region but across all of Iraq.
