Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets with Senator Bill Hagerty

Washington, D.C. (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty in Washington as part of his official visit to the United States.

They discussed recent developments in Iraq and the broader region.

Senator Hagerty welcomed the signing of two major energy deals between the KRG and U.S. companies in the energy sector. He reaffirmed his country's support for the Kurdistan Region's success and expressed satisfaction that the Region is strengthening its commercial ties with American companies.

Prime Minister Barzani thanked the United States for its continued support to the Kurdistan Region and reiterated the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between both sides.

They also highlighted the need to respect the constitutional rights and federal status of the Kurdistan Region within Iraq.
