Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets with U.S. Secretary of the Interior

Washington, D.C. (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum in Washington, D.C., as part of his official visit to the United States.

They discussed strengthening the strategic partnership between the United States and the Kurdistan Region, as well as the latest developments in Iraq and the wider region.

Secretary Burgum described the Kurdistan Region as a valued partner of the U.S and expressed satisfaction with the deepening ties between the Region and American companies. He emphasized that such cooperation aligns with the U.S. policy of leveraging energy for peace and prosperity.

Prime Minister Barzani reiterated the Kurdistan Region’s gratitude for the United States' continued support and stressed that the Kurdistan Region remains a factor of peace and stability in Iraq and the Middle East.
