Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Oversees Signing of Two Major Energy Agreements in Washington

Washington, D.C. (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani will oversee the signing of two major energy agreements during a formal ceremony at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., as part of his official visit to the United States.

The agreements will be signed between the KRG’s Ministry of Natural Resources and two prominent American energy companies — HKN Energy and WesternZagros. The agreements represent a combined estimated value tens of billions of US dollars.

These agreements mark a significant step toward further developing the Kurdistan Region’s oil and energy sector and strengthening its economic infrastructure. They are expected to contribute directly to economic growth and stability in the Region.
