Prime Minister Barzani Receives New Korean Ambassador

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) — Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received the newly appointed South Korean Ambassador to Iraq, Lee Jun-il.

Prime Minister Barzani congratulated Ambassador Lee on his new role and highlighted the long-standing friendship between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Korea. He reaffirmed the KRG's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and supporting expanded cooperation.

Ambassador Lee commended the Kurdistan Region’s progress and prosperity, expressing Korea’s desire to enhance relations across various sectors. He also congratulated the Prime Minister on the success in the Iraqi parliamentary elections and praised the KRG’s ongoing projects and reforms aimed at building a strong economic foundation.
