Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets Federal Prime Minister

Duhok, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met in Duhok with Iraq’s Federal Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani.

They exchanged congratulations on the successful conduct and outcome of the Iraqi parliamentary elections, expressing hope that it marks the beginning of a new phase toward greater stability and improved public services across Iraq.

They also emphasized the importance of securing the salaries and rightful financial entitlements of the Kurdistan Region. In this regard, the Federal Prime Minister reaffirmed that the Kurdistan Region’s salaries for this year will be released in accordance with existing agreements, and that the Kurdistan Region’s share will be included in next year’s federal budget framework.
