Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Meets Head of Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council

Duhok, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today met in Duhok with Faiq Zaidan, the President of Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council.

They discussed the political situation in Iraq following the parliamentary elections, as well as ongoing efforts and talks to form the new federal cabinet. They agreed on the importance of establishing a service-oriented government, ensuring political stability across Iraq, and safeguarding the rights of all components.

They also emphasised the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation between both sides to ensure full adherence to the Constitution and resolving outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government. We reaffirmed the need to form the new federal government cabinet, to uphold balance and protect the rights of the Kurdistan Region and all provinces.
