Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Receives Dutch Ambassador to Iraq

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Janet Alberda,the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Iraq.

The meeting was attended by Adriaan IJsselstein, the Dutch Consul General in the Kurdistan Region. Ambassador Alberda underlined the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and highlighted the presence of a Dutch trade and business delegation currently in Erbil to explore expanding commercial ties with the Kurdistan Region.

Both sides agreed on the continued importance of supporting the unification of the Peshmerga forces and advancing reforms within the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs.

Marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, they also stressed the need to protect women’s rights, uphold their dignity, and confront all forms of violence and discrimination against women.
