Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Receives the New Consul General of the UAE

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) – Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Ahmed Hassan al-Shehhi, the newly appointed Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani congratulated him on assuming his duties, highlighting the longstanding and special relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE, and reaffirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government’s full support for the Consul General in carrying out his mission.

The UAE Consul General expressed his pleasure to begin his tenure in the Kurdistan Region, conveying the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, to the Prime Minister.

He also commended the progress, development, and reforms achieved by the Kurdistan Regional Government across various sectors.
