Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Receives UN Special Representative

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Mohammed Al Hassan, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI).

During the meeting, they discussed developments in Iraq and the region, as well as preparations for Iraq’s parliamentary elections.

They both emphasized the importance of conducting the elections in a peaceful and democratic environment, free from any violations. They also expressed hope that the election results will contribute positively to the security and stability of Iraq, as well as the resolution of issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government based on the Constitution, and improved public services and quality of life for all Iraqi citizens.
