Prime Minister Barzani Receives UAE Delegation

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) — Today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates headed by Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State and Special Envoy for Economic Affairs to the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani underlined the importance of the close and special ties between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE. He expressed appreciation to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, for the country’s continuous support to the Kurdistan Region, and highlighted the significance of appointing a dedicated envoy for economic affairs as a strong signal of the UAE’s commitment to bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his greetings and respect to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, through the delegation.

Minister Al Hajeri reiterated the UAE’s desire to further strengthen relations with the Kurdistan Region across all sectors. He stressed that the Kurdistan Region holds a unique and important place in the UAE’s leadership vision, and pointed to the wide opportunities available for expanding bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors.
