Prime Minister Barzani Receives US Chargé d’Affaires

Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Joshua Harris, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Iraq, on Wednesday evening.

The meeting covered the development of bilateral relations, the situation in Iraq, and the formation of the new federal and regional cabinets.

Both sides agreed on the importance of forming a strong government in Iraq based on respect for the constitution, the federal system, and the institutions and constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region — a government that serves all Iraqi citizens without discrimination.

They also stressed the importance of forming a strong and inclusive cabinet for the Kurdistan Regional Government.

During the meeting, the US Embassy delegation congratulated the Prime Minister on the Kurdistan Regional Government’s reform efforts across various sectors.
